Five Points

Five Points got its name from Denver’s old tramway company, which nicknamed it Five Points because their streetcars could not fit on their signs all the street names at this final stop. Today, this historic neighborhood features retail, restaurants, and services along Welton Street. With a rich history of jazz musicians – like Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, and Lionel Hampton – five points was a requisite stop for tours between the Midwest and the west coast. Some of the oldest and most beautiful Victorian-style homes make up this neighborhood, which is also undergoing a renaissance of new housing developments and luxury lofts.
